Within Hexi New City, the buildings with a total of 2 million sq.m. are under construction, among which nearly a half has been completed. At the time of “the 10th National Games of the PRC”, there will be buildings with a total of 2.2 million sq.m. being constructed, with 2 million sq.m. completed. Then a high and medium-grade residence community will take shape.

仓巷步行街占地5.8公顷,南北长350米,东西宽110-120米,以改造后的朝天宫步行街为主线,北端入口正对朝天宫,隔建邺路接王府大街,距新街口中心商圈咫尺之遥,使每一个徜徉于此的人都能品味都市繁华、感悟历史风情。
With the rebuilt Chaotiangong Pedestrian Street as the main line, Cangxiang Pedestrian Street, covering 5.8 hectares, is 350 meters long from north to south and 110-120 meters wide from west to east. The north end of the Cangxiang Pedestrian Street, just opposite to Chaotiangong, is separated from the Wangfu Avenue by the Jianye road and nears Xinjiekou. Standing here, you may feel the flourishing metropolis and historical tastes.
一个成功的步行街是一个汇聚人气的地方,而打造一个成功的步行街也需要以人气为依托。随着王府大街、朝天宫、冶山公园的改造、市民广场的新建,诸多利好因素都有力地促进了仓巷步行街与新街口商圈的联系,并为其导入客源,使这一地区具备了得天独厚的人流聚集效应。
A pedestrian street operating successfully must be a flourishing site. With the reconstruction of Wangfu Avenue, Chaotiangong, and Yeshan Park and the building of Citizen Square, the relationship between the Cangxiang Pedestrian Street and Xinjiekou business center is strengthened, leading consumers to the pedestrian street and enabling the street to become a unique attraction to people.
本项目由日本商业街设计大师高桥志保彦倾力设计,总建筑面积160000平方米、营业面积达73000平方米的立体式商业休闲步行街将完美呈现。沿街三层均为商业及休闲娱乐设施,其中一二层将形成以精品商店及专卖店为主导的商业组合;同时,充分利用第五立面,将三层的顶部设计成屋顶花园,以满足人们休憩、观赏的需要;从长远考虑,步行街的功能还将进一步得以挖掘,规划在其东侧建造小高层、高层酒店式公寓,面积可达87000平方米;在西一街区还将特别设计建造内聚式广场,进行商品展示、促销、文化娱乐等活动。步行街拥有面积约34000平方米的地下室,备有530个机动车停车位,能有效解决来此消费的停车问题。
This project was designed by a Japanese commercial street designer 高桥志保彦. The combined floorage of covered in this project reaches 160,000 sq.m., among which 73,000 sq.m. are used for business. The first three floors of the buildings on both side of the streets are all used for commerce or relaxation. The first two floors will be used mainly as specialty shops or choice consumer goods shops; and the roof of the third floor will be designed as garden for leisure and relaxation. In order to tap the potential of the pedestrian street, some hotel-type apartment buildings with a combined floorage of 87,000 sq.m. are scheduled to be constructed in the east of the street. In the west No.1 street area, a special square will be designed and built for holding exhibition, sales promotion, cultural relaxation, etc. The basement under the pedestrian street amounts to 34,000 sq.m., with parking lots that can contain 530 motor vehicles.
