  With high and new technology industry as development target, and modern manufacturing as main body, the development of Hexi New City highlights high and new technology industry that meet the new brand requirement – software development and R&D of high technology, fully utilizes the capital and technology at home and abroad, absorbs a batch of high and new technology enterprise group by virtue of the advanced technology park, follows the road of new industry development – high technology, high added value, high employment rate, low cost, low energy consumption and low pollution.   南京新城科技园首期规划面积4平方公里,以信息技术产业和知识型服务产业为主导产业,重点发展总部基地、研发中心和高科技产品生产基地。科技园由国际知名企业——美国IDC工业设计工程公司和日本MAO一级建筑士事务所设计制作。在强调以人为本的基础上,突出“都市工业、楼宇工业、观光工业、服务式园区”四大特色,整个园区划分为研发创业区、加工制造区、商贸服务区、食品生产区、生活配套区五大区域,以实现研发创新、孵化创业、转化辐射、人才培训、信息管理、商贸物流、观光旅游、生活服务等八大功能。

  With initially planned area of 4 sq.km., Nanjing Xincheng Technology Park takes information technology industry and knowledge service industry as the leading industries, and highlights the development of headquarters development base, R&D center and high technology production center. The technology park is designed and built by the international renowned enterprises – IDC and MAO. Basing on human oriented concept, and highlighting four characteristics of “metropolis industry, building industry, touring industry and service park”, the whole park is divided in to the part for research and development, the part for manufacturing, the part for business and services, the part for food manufacturing and that for supplementary living service, realizing the eight functions including R&D, innovation, business cultivation, transformation, talent training, information management, commerce, logistics, touring and living services, etc.

  The technology park gains advantages against others in terms of location. Eleven arterial and sub-arterial roads connect with the No.1 and No.2 underground railway, constituting the convenient transportation network of the technology park.   Located within the Xincheng Technology Park, D&R part lies to the west side of the section between Outer Qinhuai River between Mengdu Street and Olympics Street, with total occupation area of 39 hectares and floorage of 980,000 sq.m. Abutting upon the commercial center of Hexi, the park is suitable for the office affair handling of headquarters of large enterprise groups, and also the R&D of high technology products, high technology enterprise cultivation and knowledge service by high technology enterprises, etc.

  Located within the Xincheng Technology Park, the manufacturing part lies to the east side of Taishan Road between Mengdu Street and Hexi Avenue, with total occupation area of 36 hectares and floorage of 570,000 sq.m. As the main manufacturing area, the part is suitable for the development of IT industry and bio-technology industry as well as processing and manufacturing of other high technology products.
